Buyer Beware!!!

Recently, QuinTron has noticed "refurbished" or "used" MicroLyzer instrumentation being sold on eBay and other internet retailer websites. Buyers should use extreme caution when considering these instruments for purchase.

If you are thinking about purchasing a "used" instrument from eBay or any internet retailer or seller, please contact QuinTron to verify the serial number of the instrument and we will provide you with any history of the instrument we have on file.

Some older models of MicroLyzers have been discontinued because replacement parts are no longer available and therefore cannot be "refurbished" or repaired. Some sellers on eBay and internet retailers have claimed these instruments to be in working order (which they may be). Please be aware that if there is a warranty being offered, it is not being provided by QuinTron.

Our experiences with instrumentation not purchased through QuinTron or an authorized distributor can typically have multiple servicing issues which, in some cases, would end up costing more to repair and recertify than if the end-user would have purchased a new BreathTracker from QuinTron directly.

One last note...if the decision is made to purchase one of these instruments without input and refurbishing from QuinTron and is then used to interpret breath test results to aid in patients' diagnosis, the integrity of analysis and therefore the practices' own reputation may be jeopardized if a "used" breath testing instrument is used.
